ClearView

Inspect before you trust.

What do the indicators say about this media?

Two stages, one investigation. Stage 1 collects objective technical evidence — metadata, hashes, compression, noise, motion and spectral analysis plus an AI detector pass. Stage 2 turns those findings into a checklist for your own eyes and ears.

Your files never leave your device — all analysis runs locally in your browser.

How to read this

ClearView never declares media AI-generated. It reports technical indicators that must be read together with provenance, context and human expertise. Use your own judgement — this tool is a guide, not a verdict.

Choose an investigation type and upload a file. Technical findings appear here, followed by a checklist generated from them.

About this tool

Why ClearView exists

AI is an extraordinary tool — one that's helping people learn faster, work better, and access things that were previously out of reach. But like any powerful tool, it can be misused. Deepfakes, synthetic voices, AI-generated product photos sold as handmade, fake identities — these are real problems affecting real people every day.

ClearView was built out of a simple motivation: help people develop the habit of questioning what they see and hear online. Not out of paranoia, but out of awareness.

This tool is a guide, not a verdict. The final call always belongs to you — a human being with context, intuition and critical thinking that no algorithm can fully replace.

Behind the tool

Built from experience

I've spent over 15 years working with AI generation tools — image, video and audio — as well as in QA, security testing and data analysis. That combination has trained my eye (and ear) to notice what doesn't look or sound right: the lighting that's a little too perfect, the background that doesn't quite match, the voice that has no natural hesitation.

This tool reflects what I look for when analysing synthetic media. It won't replace that experience, but it can help you start building your own instincts.

Inspect before you trust.

Know the threats

How AI is used to deceive people

Awareness is the first layer of defence. These are some of the most common ways AI-generated media is used in fraud and deception today.

Voice cloning

From just a few seconds of audio, AI can clone someone's voice and use it to call relatives asking for money, or impersonate executives in business fraud calls.

Fake identity photos

AI-generated profile photos are used to create fake identities on social networks, dating apps and professional platforms — people who don't exist but look completely real.

Deepfake video

A person's face can be superimposed onto another person's body in video — used to fabricate compromising situations, fake statements or fraudulent endorsements.

Fake artisan / handmade products

Product photos presented as handmade or artisan are increasingly AI-generated. What looks like a unique piece may be a mass-produced item sold with fake imagery.

Synthetic news and evidence

AI-generated images of events that never happened — disasters, crimes, political acts — spread as real news, distorting public perception and causing real-world harm.

Document and ID forgery

AI can generate convincing fake IDs, passports, certificates and screenshots of conversations, used to deceive individuals and bypass verification systems.
